A native of Minnesota, Beverly moved to South Carolina in 1952 and has had the pleasure of living in Allendale, Camden and Beaufort.

She became active in garden clubs winning several awards, both local and state-wide, for her floral designs. Because of her many years of experience as a floral designer, she finds painting the wonderful colors and shapes of flowers especially intriguing and also enjoys painting the low country architecture, including lighthouses, the beautiful water scenes with boats, docks, fantastic trees, etc. Recently she has been interested in painting portraits of animals and people.

In addition to traditional watercolor painting, she enjoys designing and painting the canvas for director’s chairs and floor cloths and other fun things like colorful wooden fish, boxes, frames and whatever else her husband cuts out for her.

Beverly has studied with several well-known artists and instructors, including Al Stine, Judi Betts, Karlyn Holman, Jan Ford, Mary Whyte, Betty Carr and Gloria Dalvini.
