From the President

A Call for Artists – Can your art have a historical reference? Are you interested in local history?

Next year the USA will begin celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War. South Carolina has created the SC250 Committee to create opportunities to celebrate our state’s significant participation in this event.

I am currently working with three local history groups who are planning local events. We see an opportunity to engage the community by creating art for exhibit and purchase that references events and people of this period. This art may be exhibited in our gallery, in local museums, or in public places around town. We will be announcing an informational meeting in the next few months, to discuss artistic possibilities and seek creative ideas.

Executive Vice President Position Opening – We are currently seeking someone to fill the open position of Executive Vice President, who will assist the President and BAA Board members, as we continue to run this organization in this 2022-2023 year. Please contact me if you are interested!

Frank Gorman

President (I’ll be the mover, but we still need a shaker!)
